Dr. Jillian Wolske
Dr. Jillian Wolske is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. In 1999 she began her career in the field of dentistry by fulfilling a lifelong dream of joining the United States Navy, where she enlisted as a Dental Technician. Her career began just like any other service member, attending boot camp, and specialized training then assignment.
During her enlisted career as a Dental Technician she had the honor of being stationed in numerous locations to include; Great Lakes Illinois, Wichita Falls Texas, and Key West Florida.
While serving in the Navy, she attended St Leo University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a specialization in Human Behavior.
In addition to earning her degree she was selected as the NDC Southeast Region Junior Sailor of the Year and in 2003 was awarded the Armed Forces, Health Professions Scholarship and a commission as an Officer.
After receiving her commission she was chosen to further her education at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, where she graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2007. After graduating from dental school, she was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned to 2d Dental Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. At Camp Lejeune she entered a yearlong residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, studying extensively in all aspects of dental specialties, where she graduated second in her class. Soon after completing her advanced training she deployed with 2d Marine Logistics Group to Taqaddum, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Upon return from Iraq and after serving 10 years in the Navy, she settled in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she worked as an Associate for Wilmington Comprehensive and Cosmetic Dentistry. After a year as an associate she fulfilled a lifelong dream of ownership and purchased the practice from the owner.
Port City Family and Cosmetic Dentistry opened its doors in March of 2012 and continues to serve the greater Wilmington area.
